The Tigron FX300 is a ship featured in Wipeout Pure. It is available via the Gamma Pack 1 (JP/US) or the Gamma Pack (EU).

Description[]

The last heavyweight to come from the Tigron assembly line is brought out of retirement for a second stab at the championship.

Overview[]

While its stats suggest that the Tigron craft is a superior version of the Triakis, this is not really the case. Its shields are not quite up to Triakis standards, and its handling and thrust are somewhat less smooth than the Qirex. In fact, that would be the best way to envisage this craft – a kind of bridge for pilots who intend to switch to faster craft. Even then, this craft is still one of the best when it comes to top speed and shielding. Certainly not one to dismiss.

Trivia[]

  • As it is a successor to the BULL-666, this ship is colloquially referred to as the "BULL-667" by fans.
  • This ship is seen in the game's concept art gallery, sporting a livery that is nearly identical to its predecessor's. This variant, however, never makes an appearance in the final game.
  • This ship was used by Qirex to accustom their pilots to heavier ships. Once it had served its purpose, it was dismantled on the orders of Feliks Levovich, who wanted no remnants of Tigron to survive.
    • Because of this, it is likely that this Tigron ship was only a developmental test prototype and never actually competed in the FX300.
    • As this was the final Tigron model from the old Qirex assembly line, it is possible that this was a one-off ship, making elimination a potential risk for writing the ship off.
    • However, with the K-VSR appearing later on in the FX350 League, it is possible that Tigron may somehow have been operating after their supposed collapse.
