Ranking in Wipeout Pure helps track the player's progress in the Single Player mode, based on the number of unique gold medals acquired across Single Player game modes, excluding Free Play. The player ranks up as more gold medals are collected, starting from Rookie to Purist. The medals the player has won can be viewed in the Progress section of the Profile menu, and each one features a unique concept art image.
This is your progress in the game. Where a gold medal is highlighted, press Confirm to view a gallery picture.

Race Modes[]

Tournament Race a series of sequential tracks, scoring points for your finishing positions. Remember, only one team can take home the Gold.
Time Trial A race against time, your only opposition is the clock.
Zone Just when you think it can't get any faster, it does. How long can you last?
Free Play It's just you and the track for as long as you desire. Enjoy.
Speed Classes[]
Vector The slowest, easiest races you'll find in any AG League. Vector is a walk in the park.
Venom A medium speed refresher course for veterans and a nice entry point for the pilot-in-training. Welcome to Venom.
Flash Now this is real AG racing. If you can handle the Flash Class ships, you're doing well.
Rapier Rapier ups the opposition speed and skill, so you'd better up yours. Newbies stay away, veterans welcome.
Phantom These are the fastest AG races you've ever seen. Are you good enough for Phantom Class?
Base Game[]
For quick reference, here is information on the Single Player mode:
At the start of the game, only the Vector and Venom speed classes are available
When unlocked, only Alpha League tracks and the Alpha Tournament are available for that speed class
Getting Gold on the Alpha Tournament unlocks Beta League tracks and the Beta Tournament for the corresponding speed class, and getting Gold on the Beta Tournament unlocks the Ascension League for the corresponding speed class
Upon getting Gold on the Ascension Tournament, the next speed class becomes available
The speed class also determines the race length for Single Race, Time Trial and Tournament – 3 laps for Vector and Venom, 4 laps for Flash and Rapier, and 5 laps for Phantom
Classic League tracks are unlocked by accumulating a specified number of unique Gold medals – once unlocked, they become available for all unlocked speed classes
Upon unlocking all four Classic League tracks, the Classic Tournament becomes available for all unlocked speed classes
Alpha League[]
The four Alpha League tracks take us up and out of the sea, through the city and into the countryside, each track higher than the last.
*Once unlocked, there will be a "Livery" checkbox on the Team Selection screen. To enable and disable alternate ship liveries, tap left or right on the D-pad.
Downloadable Content[]
These tracks are available as downloadable content. When installed into your game data, they become available for all unlocked speed classes.
Here is information on DLC tracks:
This medal guide does not cover the reskins of Delta League tracks available via certain DLC packs
The tournaments here are unlocked by getting Gold on all tracks in the corresponding league in the Single Race mode, unlocking the tournament for the corresponding speed class
Getting Gold on all Gamma League tracks in the Single Race mode also unlocks the Descension Tournament, provided that Gold medals have also been won on all Alpha and Beta League tracks in the same mode
The Omega League is only available for the European version
Gamma League[]
The Gamma League tracks, as diverse as they are tricky. Fly from the guts of the city, through shopping districts, parks and on to mountain peaks.
