The Icaras SunGod XVi is a ship featured in Wipeout 3.

The Icaras craft is speed incarnate, the fastest of all. But it was built for exactly that thing – Pure speed. As a result, it takes very long to get going, its shields are poor, and it handles sluggishly, so a lot of airbrake use will be necessary to keep it running. In fact, the speed will make it handle worse than the stats suggest. However, once you've mastered how to control this beast, there's nothing that can keep up with you so long as you can also steer clear of weapon fire. Needless to say, this is the hardest handling craft in the game.

- Before Wipeout HD, this was the only Icaras ship that appeared in the base game, albeit as an unlockable ship.
- Coincidentally, every subsequent Icaras ship appearing after Wipeout 3 would be available as either a downloadable extra content or an unlockable content.
- In Special Edition, the Handling stat for this ship was increased to 3.
