The Icaras SunGod FX350/400 is a ship featured in Wipeout Pulse and Wipeout HD. An alternate version with a slight increase in thrust and handling appears in the Fury expansion pack.
Description (Wipeout Pulse)[]
The British underdogs at Icaras have taken aim at Piranha and produced a deliberately under-armoured ship with a blinding top speed and acceleration to outpace the Brazilians.
Overview[]
To say the Icaras was built for pure speed is an understatement. It really is the fastest craft on the grid too. While the Piranha has the same top speed at its disposal, the Icaras will try to get you to that top speed as quickly as possible, and its low-mass frame also provides a slight edge in cornering. This all comes at a heavy price however, leaving the Icaras with the weakest shields out of all the craft, on top of being quite unstable when turning. Speaking of shields, anyone wanting to take advantage of this will need to catch up with the Icaras first.
Fury[]
The Fury upgrade leaves the Icaras mostly intact, but provides a small increase in thrust and handling to keep it ahead of the new Piranha on those aspects.
