The FEISAR Speed is a ship featured in Wipeout 2048. It is the only ship in the game available to new players to the game. Its all-around characteristics make it an excellent starter ship.

With sublime handling, this ship is ideal for anyone just starting out in the high-velocity world of Anti-Gravity Racing. While not the fastest ship on the grid, you'll soon catch the competition through the corners. A consummate all-rounder, the FEISAR Speed won't let you down!
Overview[]
The FEISAR Speed is the ideal ship for newcomers and, thankfully, this is indeed the first ship given to you. It is an outstanding all-rounder with a great top speed and a good turning radius, which together allow you to go through corners with relative ease and maintain a stable racing pace, all the while keeping up with the opposition. While a necessity on the earlier levels, you may later want to trade up to faster or stronger ships, such as the Pir-hana Speed, to better deal with the heat of competition. As stated, faster ships may need to apply airbrakes to make them around a simple bend, whereas the FEISAR Speed can easily take on most corners with minimal use of airbrakes. And believe it or not, this alone makes the FEISAR Speed a fairly good choice in Zone mode, where its handling still comes into its own. However, keep in mind that this ship is not the toughest thing on the track. Add to that the mediocre firepower, the FEISAR Speed just isn't well-suited for Combat mode, so you need to be more conservative while in this ship when attempting to fire your weapons.
