Overview[]

As with all FEISAR craft, the LS-59 exhibits superb handling and great shields. However, it also has a higher speed attribute compared to its predecessors – in fact, every other team craft in the series – which could be beneficial to new pilots, even helping the craft itself stay competitive later on. It should be no surprise that all these traits make for the ideal beginner craft in the LS-59.

Unfortunately, this extra top-end performance comes at the cost of thrust and weapon power. The LS-59 has the lowest weapons multiplier out of the three starter craft, and its thrust is only marginally better than the G-Tech REVVER series. The thrust will not be a problem for you if you are good enough to avoid contact with anything, including other craft. As for the weapon power, it should be a trivial matter unless the race gets violent.

Both craft can have their thrust and weapon strength upgraded to Level 3 and shield power to Level 5, but Daniel Johnson's craft braking can be upgraded to Level 4, with its speed and stability to Level 5 as well.

Trivia[]

  • According to the game manual, this ship also uses the Tru-Fly™ Enhanced Stability Core designed by FEISAR First Engineer Thomas Debenham.
    • There are also hints to this ship using nuclear fusion technology – the team background for FEISAR mentions that there were allegations of nuclear reactor meltdowns inside the ship during pre-season testing.
  • Canonically, this ship was responsible for the deployment of the missiles that caused the Temtesh Bay disaster.
    • This ship is also the canonical championship winner of the 2164 season, with Daniel Johnson as the team's winning pilot at the time. Coincidentally, this happens to be the same year that the Temtesh Bay disaster had occurred.
  • The ship's early design was very different from the final version, as the design was more like the one in 2097.
