Wipeout[]

Type these codes whilst highlighting "One Player" on the Main Menu, then tap the Cross button after the code has been entered.

Wipeout 2097/XL[]

All cheats entered in Main Menu or In-game Pause require you to hold L1, R1 and Select (PlayStation) or L, R and Down (Saturn).

The first three cheats listed below require you to hold Z, L and R on the Main Menu. Cheats relating to time, weapons and shield energy still require you to hold the three aforementioned buttons, only they need to be entered through the pause menu. These cheats cannot be used in Challenge mode.
