The Auricom FX350/400 is a ship featured in Wipeout Pulse and Wipeout HD. An alternate version with improved handling appears in the Fury expansion pack.
Description (Wipeout Pulse)[]
Auricom have been reinvigorated with a new All-American outlook and a ship to match, with superb top speed and shield let down only a little by basic control.
Overview[]
The new Auricom craft sits somewhere in between the Piranha and the Triakis in terms of stats. It has both an impressive top speed and powerful shields, but instead of pushing either of these to its limit, Auricom have elected to give their thrusters some kick. While it won't be able to match many other craft in terms of acceleration, it does mean it can get up to speed a little quicker than both the Piranha and the Triakis. It still takes some deft airbrake work to haul it around a technical track, though. Also note that in Wipeout Pulse, this craft appears to handle much better than its stats suggest.
Fury[]
The Fury upgrade focuses on improving the agility of the craft, giving it a major improvement in handling and a small boost in its thrusters.

Trivia[]
- The Fury variant is the first ship in the series to feature side-mounted airbrakes, as traditionally, they are placed on the rear of the craft. Later ships that would have something like this would be the VR variants of the HD and Fury ships in Wipeout Omega Collection.
